Kaelah Bourgeois was raised in Staten Island, New York, but Louisiana has long since become home. After moving south, she quickly fell in love with the state, its culture, and, most importantly, its people. The hospitality and strong sense of community she found in Louisiana have shaped both her personal and professional life.

Kaelah attended LSU, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at LSU, she worked in the office of Congressman Garret Graves, gaining firsthand experience with government, public policy, and constituent service. She later earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2019.

Kaelah began her legal career at a larger corporate law firm, where she practiced for more than six years, primarily representing clients in complex energy and environmental litigation and regulatory matters. Her experience taught her the importance of understanding not only the legal issues facing a client, but also the client's business, goals, and practical needs.

In 2026, Kaelah joined Kolb & Blankenship, where she has broadened her practice and works directly with individuals and businesses across a variety of legal matters. Her background in litigation, regulatory matters, government, and public policy gives her a practical and well-rounded approach to solving problems for her clients.

Outside of her practice, Kaelah is deeply involved in the Baton Rouge community and serves in leadership roles with several local charitable and civic organizations, including The Capital Gala, Baton Rouge Green, and Swollfest.

Louisiana is where Kaelah has built her career, raised her family, and made her home. Her connection to the community continues to shape the way she practices law—with a focus on relationships, common sense, and understanding the people and businesses she serves.
